ANTIQUE ADUSTABLE CAST BRASS BRIDGE FLOOR LAMP With REVERSE PAINTED GLASS SHADE

  
This listing is for an antique bridge floor lamp that comes with its original reverse painted glass shade. Stands 5' tall (up to the tip of the finial). It is made of cast brass except for the pole part, which looks like it is probably an iron rod that had a finish applied to make it look like brass. There are areas where some of that finish has chipped off.

I've cleaned this entire lamp from top to bottom with a soft toothbrush, soap, and water, and I didn't find any other damage to any of the metal parts other than the areas of chipped finish on the pole portion. This lamp has two areas that are adjustable by two accessible thumb screws.

The first one allows the bridge to slide up and down the pole to adjust the height of the lamp. The second one allows you to adjust the angle of the light. The glass lampshade has a beautiful reverse painted floral design.

No chips, cracks, or unusual wear. (What looks like a giant crack in one of the photos is just a manufacturing seam - there is one on each side). I've included some photos with a bulb inside of it so you can see how the design shows through the satin finish on the exterior of the glass. The photos were done using a bright white 100 watt bulb. With a lower watt, warmer bulb, this piece will be an inviting accent to your room.

The plug end of the wire has been cut off, so it will need to be rewired. If you decide to refinish the pole as well, this piece will be fully restored.
